and recordkeeping.
Specification Sheets, Certificates of Analysis, and Material Safety Data Sheets are provided for every botanical. Lot samples are retained for 7 years.

Starwest maintains a modern in-house laboratory staffed by experienced professionals enabling us to provide a thorough analysis, quickly and efficiently.
Starwest's testing procedures follow a strict fifteen point analytical protocol to verify product quality. This testing starts with the arrival of the crude, raw material and follows through to the finished, processed product. Continuous testing and monitoring throughout the manufacturing process assures consistent, reliable end-products that meet strict specification standards and provide our customers with guaranteed quality botanicals.
Standardized quality assurance testing, with state-of-the-art equipment, includes:
- identification of each botanical to verify purity, authenticity, color, texture, and taste
- microbiology and chemical analysis
- measurement of active ingredients
Independent, third party laboratory analysis testing is used periodically to verify and validate our in-house test methods and results.
